About the Executive Development Workshop

‘Communicating CSR: Walking the Tightrope’ (850 KB PDF)

Two out of three people think companies don’t care about the social and environmental impact of their actions. What’s more, they don’t think companies should talk too much about their good deeds either. It’s self-serving and not very credible. But if you don’t communicate your company’s corporate social responsibility, how will they ever know?

This essential hands-on learning program explores the paradox of CSR communications and provides indispensable guidance on effective CSR communications. Learn how to credibly communicate your CSR approach to employees, investors, customers and NGOs, so you can create a more trusting environment for better business outcomes.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  • Understand CSR and the role of communications
  • Explore three proven strategies that will allow you to manage CSR communications with confidence
  • Learn about CSR communications tactics that work
  • Discover insights from the latest research into CSR issues management
  • Hear examples of best practice in CSR communications with key stakeholders
  • Apply the CSR Communications Framework to solve your organisation’s CSR communications challenges

Launch of the ACCSR Learning Network

ACCSR’s commitment to CSR learning took a major step forward in May with the launch of the ACCSR Learning Network. Developed at the request of past participants in ACCSR workshops, the Learning Network helps participants stay connected and to keep learning in an informal manner through exclusive invitations to learning events.

The ACCSR Learning Network Launch was generously hosted by Transurban Ltd’s Managing Director, Kim Edwards, who spoke about the company’s CSR journey. The key-note speaker, Michael O’Sullivan, President of the Australian Council of Super Investors, discussed the emerging role of institutional investors as the “CSR activists”, who demand increased levels of disclosure about the social and environmental risks that companies face.

If you would like to join the network, host an event or suggest a speaker, phone Rebecca Jones +61 3 9576 1694 or email rebeccajones@accsr.com.au
